When God Says You are the Standard

Job1:6-10
(6)Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and satan came also among them
(7)And the Lord said unto satan, whence comest thou? Then satan answered the Lord and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (8)And the Lord said unto satan, hast thou consider my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? (9)Then satan answered the Lord and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? (10)Hast not thou an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job2:1-4
(1)Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and satan came also among them to present hemself before the Lord. (2)And the Lord said unto satan, from whenst camest thou and satan answered the Lord, and said, from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it. (3)And the Lord said unto satan, hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect man and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? And still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without a cause. (4)And satan answered the Lord and said, skin for skin, yea all that a man hath will he give for his life.
Observations:-
1)That when the people of God go before God, that satan has and will always present himself to mess things up.
2)That satan is constantly going to and fro in the earth to deceive and to destroy God’s people, he does not rest.
3)That God will use the best amongst his people to show off on satan. If the devil is to do any damage to us, God has to first remove the hedge from around us and from that which we own.
4)Satan can do us no harm as long as we live according to God’s will.
5)Satan and his demons are as real as God, His angels and His people are. The difference is that God is so much more powerful than the devil and that while satan can and does affect the smaller details, God still has control of the bigger picture.
Amen.
