Prayer Meetings

When we pray, we must believe that our prayers are causing change to take place and that they are making a difference. Each time we pray, it is an exercise of faith and we must remember that God responds to faith. If the question is asked, what makes the difference between one person’s prayer and the next, the answer would be many different things. If one is repentant and goes to God in prayer, then sincerity must be a factor! Elijah prayed earnestly for it not to rain and it didn’t for three years and six months and he prayed again and it rained. James 5:17-18

If there is one line in the bible that aptly describes what prayer should be, I would venture to suggest  the  last line of James 5:16 which states” The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. While it is God given for every person to go to Him in prayer, it must truly be one of the sweetest thing to the ear of God Almighty to hear a person coming to Him in repentant prayer. There will always be many different types of prayers. The state of the vessels going before God will help to determine His response.
